TDK expands its TronicsAxo300 lineup with the introduction of two high-performance digital MEMS accelerometers

     TDK Corporation has expanded its fixed-speed AXO300 accelerometer lineup with the introduction of AXO301 and AXO305. Following the successful launch in 2020 of the ± 14g AXO315 accelerometer for high-performance navigation and dynamic system positioning applications, Constant Speed has expanded its AXO300 accelerometer lineup with the AXO301 and AXO305. AXO301 is a low-noise, high-resolution ±1 g accelerometer, which is very suitable for high-precision acceleration/deceleration measurement in railway applications and tilt control in industrial applications. The AXO305 is a ±5 gram accelerometer tailored for navigation, positioning and motion control for manned/unmanned systems on land and sea.

     The AXO300 series accelerometers use an innovative closed-loop design to ensure high linearity and stability even under strong vibration conditions, with excellent one-year compound bias repeatability (1 mg) and one-year compound scale factor repeatability (600 ppm). The Tronics family of accelerometers and inclinometers are packaged in a miniature sealed J-lead ceramic package that provides long operating and storage life and ensures a high degree of compliance with the rigorous thermal cycling requirements of critical applications. They are embedded in fully hardcoded electronics with a 24-bit digital SPI interface and can be quickly integrated into standalone sensor modules,INS, IMUs, and attitude heading reference systems (obviously). The built-in self-check function provides initial verification of sensor integrity and continues to perform functional tests at run time.

     The AXO301 is a low-noise, high-resolution, closed-loop digital MEMS accelerometer with an input range of ±1 g, providing customers with an alternative solution to force balance dipmeter and servo accelerometer with comparable performance, low exchange (size, weight and power) and a cost-effective solution. 0 μg/√Hz, 0.08 μg/√Hz. The AXO301 meets EN61373 vibration and shock standards for railway applications and is designed for osmometer assistance in train positioning systems, high-end industrial incline and inclination measurement systems, and motion control applications in construction machinery.

     With an input measurement range of ±5 g and vibration resistance of up to 20μg/g², the AXO305 is ideal for navigation, positioning and motion control applications in land, rail and Marine transportation systems and vehicles. ±0.5 mg. Thus, when integrated into the inertial navigation System (INS), precise GNSS assisted navigation performance can be given to manned and unmanned ground vehicles and trains. The AXO305 is ideal for motion reference units (systems) for ship motion control and dynamic positioning, Inertial measurement units (IMUs) for land navigation, underwater navigation for autonomous underwater download vehicles (AUVs) and remotely operated unmanned submersives (RoVs), platform and crane stabilization, and precision robotic applications.
